What will it cost?

Lesson fees

The cost of a lesson for students over the age of 18 is £5.00, and for students under 18 is £4.00. Family discounts may apply, please ask for more details.

Membership

After a student has completed four weeks of training they must join the club as a member. This currently costs £15.00 for a year's membership, and provides the licence and insurance cover that a martial arts student must have.

Students will not be allowed to train past this point without their own licence and insurance, as any injury to the student, to others, or damage to property could result in a claim against the club, or the student themselves.

The annual membership renewal fee is £15.00.

Uniform (gi)

A beginners lightweight karate gi can be purchased from the club and costs £12.50 for child sizes and £15.00 for adult sizes. All White Tiger Martial Arts uniforms come complete with a white belt and an embroidered club badge. The uniform is not needed until the first grading assessment, but many students like to purchase one sooner.

Protective equipment

This consists of protective hand mitts and leg pads for all students. Male students will need a groin guard and female students will need a chest guard, although this is not usually purchased until orange belt has been achieved. All of the equipment can be purchased from the club. Please see the equipment page for more detail.

Grading assessments

Grading assessments take place every four months and cost £15.00 per student (up to 1st Kyu Brown belt). Please see the grading page for more details.
