BLACK BELT 2nd DAN GRADING ASSESSMENT 14th JULY 2007

On Saturday 14th July 2007, Sensei Damon, Sensei Sally and Sensei Della travelled to Dereham in Norfolk for their 2nd Dan Black belt grading. The Chief examiner was Shihan Joe Ellis 6th Dan, Chairman of NAKMAS and Chief Instructor of Kent Karate Schools, assisted by Sensei Terry Wittkopp 4th Dan, Chief Instructor of Traditional Shotokan Karate Ryu (TSKR). Shihan Ellis is on the left and Sensei Wittkopp on the right in the above picture.

Shihan Ellis and Sensei Wittkopp challenged the three WTMA Sensei's in a very physically, as well as mentally,  tough grading examination. As all Black belt grading assessments, this grading took place behind closed doors with only other Black belts allowed to observe or assist. This grading followed a two hour training seminar with Shihan Ellis of which further details will be published when they are available.

After some time to assess the grading performance, Shihan Ellis called the three WTMA Sensei's back into the dojo, and announced that all three had passed to their next grade, 2nd Dan Black Belt.

Sensei Damon, Sensei Sally and Sensei Della would like to thank Shihan Ellis and Sensei Wittkopp for their support throughout a a very tough, but rewarding challenge. All three WTMA Sensei's are now preparing for their 3rd Dan grading, which they become eligible to apply for grading for in three years time.
